The origin story behind: A Tale of Two Kitties
A Tale of Two Kitties is inspired by the real journey of my two cats, Bailey and Penny. When I first adopted Bailey at ten months old, she was deeply traumatized. She spent her first month hiding, unable to trust or be approached. Nothing I tried helped her feel safe.
Everything changed when I adopted Penny, a confident three‑month‑old kitten with a bright, playful spirit. Penny became Bailey’s guide to the world — teaching her how to play, socialize, and, most importantly, trust. Through Penny, Bailey learned that she was safe, loved, and home.
Slowly, Bailey stepped out of hiding. She let herself be held. She learned joy. She learned safety. She learned love.
Today, Bailey and Penny live their best lives together — chasing toys, sharing naps, and playing endlessly with their beloved pink donut, the same one featured in this story.
Their bond is the heart of A Tale of Two Kitties.
